Bearly Art Glue-Put a pin in it?
 

For those of you who have been using the Bearly Art glue for an extended amount of time, do you store it with the pin in the fine tip, or do you replace th cap after each use and rinse out the fine tip?

I've had it for a number of months now and always store it with the pin (provided) in the fine tip. When I am finished using, I usually tap it on the table to get the glue to flow down. The needle is bent, and I have a supply of stainless steel needles on hand in case it or another fine tip has a needle failure. No clogging problems. It is a very fluid glue to use - have to be aware to keep it away from oozing out of the edges of paper.

I'm forever losing the pin, so I do the same as GypsyRoseStamper - bonk the bottle on the table when I'm done to burp out the tip, and then keep sewing pins handy that fit down in.

That reminds me that I bought supplies to make beaded glue pins and then promptly forgot to make them!

I leave the pin in and I store it upside down and it never leaks.

What gauge pin is used with the Bearly Art glue fine tip? The stainless steel pins I own are too big/thick. Would like to buy stainless eye pins and create my own glue topper stopper with some of the mountains of beads I own.

I tried one of my replacement pins in the Bearly Glue bottle shank, and it fit fine. The size of my replacements is 38mm. I am considering moving the glue to one of those smaller fine tip bottles just to have a more convenient size; so I may need to compare needle fit with that bottle.

24g stainless wire is a good fit. You'd need to hammer the pins lightly to work-harden them - I haven't tested that out yet. I did buy a roll of wire to make those glue topper stoppers and then forgot about it. Typical! :)
