Default Refreshing a Palette Ink Pad

I just bought a palette ink pad from Papertrey Ink (love 'em!!) a little over a month ago and it has almost completely dried out already. Any tips on refreshing it? I didn't leave the lid off of either...I only had used it once. :( My burnt sienna is fine but the charcoal bit the dust.

That seems awfully strange as palette inks are super juicy!! You may have gotten a bad one? But...TAC sells reinkers for all the colors if that helps!

PS. Try storing it upside down.

Another vote for storing it upside down. Papertrey will also have re-inkers any day now. Thank goodness because mine is pretty dry as well.

When those first came out, there was a bad problem w. them drying out. They had to replace the first "round" in the market place.

There is a stewart superior yahoo loop. Check it out. You may have a bad one. They are great ppl to work w/.

Wow, that surprises me too! I agree - contact the company. I've only ever had to reink my noir pad, and that was after using it constantly for over a year. My spots are super juicy too. I just got charcoal and no way is it gonna dry out anytime soon.

Thanks! I didn't figure that they would dry out that quickly. I ordered a refill and hope to be getting it soon. ;)

Hmmm my noir hasnt been juicy since the beginning. I think I've used it twice then put it away because I hated the linen pattern that showed up when I stamped big solid images because I couldnt get it wet enough. I guess I got a bad one...

Mine is like Acceber's, linen pattern and all. It's brand new, just got it from PaperTrey. I store it upside down too.

I had a problem with a Palette ink pad once. It came to me all dry out.. I started look at the lid on the ink pad. and it had a very small hair line crack in it.

Which cause the ink pad to dry out. I called TAC and told them about it and they sent me a Brand new one for FREE!

Since then I haven't had any problems and I use my Palette Noir ink pad a lot!!!

Depending when you bought it, it could be the defective ink that was first used when the pads came out.

Stewart Superior replaced a lot of pads.
