I admit that up until taking advantage of the Pick a Pack of Pretty Papers promo, I've never really purchased a lot of SU!'s DSP. Now that I have a pretty decent stash, I'm in a bit of a quandary as to how to sort and store it. Usually with any patterned paper, I just sort it according to the paper's most dominant color, and use the SU! paper holders and dividers to store it in ROYGBV order. But with SU!'s paper being double-sided and all (different colors on each side), that doesn't necessarily work. I've thought about storing it by color family, but some packs have colors from multiple familes. :???:
How do you store your DSP? I'm afraid that unless I do something different, my current sorting/storage method will make it difficult to remember exactly all that I have and in what colors, KWIM? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
My only other questions about the DSP is, how do you get up the nerve to actually start cutting into it?! I'm sitting here looking at all of this DSP thinking, "Eek! There's just NO WAY I can start chopping away at this gorgeous paper!" LOL Anyway, thanks for your replies.
I bought a three drawer plastic storage unit from Walmart that I store all my DSP's in .. I don't buy 12 x 12 cardstock, so this works out great for me. Pam

Well, as a demo, I tend to keep packages of dp separate in their own place. I keep all of my papers in the Cropper Hopper-type vertical holders that we sell (well, except my regular 8.5 x 11 cs...that's in a file cabinet). I use the craft keepers (the large clear envelopes with the flap) to separate each dp pattern.
So I have a large holder with several of the craft keepers full of dp. If I'm REALLY ambitious (not often enough, sadly) I attach 1/4" punched circles of the coordinating cardstocks to the craft keeper itself, so I know immediately which of our colors it matches. Otherwise, lol, I just have a list of all the dp's with their matching cardstocks taped to the rack the holders are stored on.
I would take a picture to show you, but the room is SUCH a mess right now!
Actually, an easier way to put it would have just to say, "vertical holders," wouldn't it? LOL....

Betsy, thank you for this brilliant idea! :-D I do have the dividers, but so far have only used them for dividing the obvious card stock colors (no punched circles needed, LOL). Why on earth I didn't think to use them with the DSP as well, I don't know... but I think putting little punched-out circles of the coordinating card stock colors on each divider tab will totally work! I agree that using the list of DSPs and their matching card stock colors is a good idea, but since that list is ever-changing, I'm pretty sure I'd be too lazy to keep updating it. LOL
Anyway, your idea is just awesome. I knew an SCSer would be able to help. ;) Can't wait to implement it! Thanks so much!
