Default TH On the Edge Distressed Doily Driving Me Nuts

I bought this die and I love it. Wondering if anyone else out there has it and has had good results. I am getting bad cuts with it. I called Sizzix and the rep said it doesn't work well with heavyweight CS, so okay, I switched to layering weight and still not clean.

Grrr. I don't want to return this die, I want to make it work because I like it so much. Hoping someone has it and has found the magic solution.

Rep did say that intricate steel rule dies (of which this my first) are a different animal from intricate wafer thins (of which I have a lot and never have a problem).

Working on a Vagabond, if that makes a difference.

Funny, I just saw this and was going to suggest adding shims. I had the die for a while & like it.

Yes, even though there were a lot of complaints about it on Amazon, people saying it cut poorly, I could not resist buying it and seeing if I could make it work. It's such a nice change from more formal doily dies.
