Default fiskar scissors-help!

hi,
with the decorative scissors...e.g. scallops or fancy edging....I find I can't get a nice, clean cut; the scissors seem dull; they are cheap...maybe they just don't cut as well? Does anybody have a problem with these scissors? I am going to try cutting through a bunch of tin foil to see if I can get a sharper edge..... (these are scissors I have not used a lot because of the above, so it is not because I have dulled them).

I have nothin but trouble from my fiskars fancy scissors and the fiskars punches as well. I've tried 2 or 3 different scissors and they always eat up the edge of my paper. I've also tried 2 different fiskars punches (which aren't that cheap!) and they explode every time I try to use them! They punch the paper ok, and then they get stuck in "punched" mode and you have to jiggle and prod at them to pop back up and when they DO finally pop up- they pop up and up and up and explode into 4 pieces. Then I have to reassemble them all before I can punch again.... geez! So yes I have had trouble and have just stopped buying them now :( Which is sad- because the designs are really nice- but they just are not a quality product in my experience.

I have the decorative scissors from Fiskars that I bought several years ago, and they all work really well. But, they moved their manufacturing facilities overseas and I've heard that the quality has really gone downhill since then.

It's a shame. I used to gravitate towards their stuff because I could count on the quality and if by chance you did get something that didn't work, they went above and beyond to make it right. Now, not so much.

I have had pretty good luck with the decorative scissors that Michaels sells in the bins. I think they are made by Provocraft.

And, believe it or not, I picked up a great pair of scissors that cut tiny scallops at the Dollar Tree.
