Un-Du versus Bestine

Thanks to whomever suggested the Bestine instead of Un-du. I wish I could remember your name so I could give you the credit!! The Bestine is working WONDERFULLY! I was so crushed when it was announced that Un-du wouldn't be made or sold anymore, and I stocked up on it! I ran out of it last week while un-mounting all my wooden stamps. I had un-mounted about 1500 of my 10,000+ wooden stamps, and was so upset that my Undu finally ran out. I have tried so many other removers...the Goo-Gone, Sticker-Lifter, Elmer's Sticky Out, Scotch's Sticker & Marker Remover, and several others, and NOTHING works. Then I read on here where somebody stated that the Bestine Solvent & Thinner worked the same as Un-du and had the same ingredients. I rushed out and bought a can of it....there is no ingredients listed on the can, so I can't vouch for that, but I can tell you it works just like Un-du!! I'm so happy!! I have spent all day un-mounting again!! WOOHOO!! I'm so happy! Did I say that already??? HA HA!! Anyway....just wanted to say thanks to that person, and let everyone know that Bestine really does work!! I'll definitely be going out and buying more so I can "stock up" just in case something happens and it "disappears" like the Un-du!!!

You can get Bestine at any fine art store. I think Mike's may even have it.

I thought it was back on the market - of course I have not been able to find it in years. Wish I could find it.

I found undu again; it now has a silver cap with white labels on front and back of bottle instead of yellow cap with yellow labels. It's still the same stuff (or at least the patent # is the same.) I found mine at www.enchantedcottageofnc.com
They're located in Lewisville, NC which is about 5 mins west of Winston-Salem.

NOOoooooo!!!!!!!!! I have not heard that--Undo is one of the basics of life for me! Surely it is not out of manufacturing!

I did see that a bottle at my LSS was $9.50. One time I got 6 bottles at Walmart for $.50 each--I know they had to be priced wrong but it did me a world of good to pay that.
