HI. I have just started to buy some clear stamps. I bought some from Saltbox Studio and Amuse. Do I need to do anything to them before stamping with them? I seem to remember reading something about that and can not find it now. I don't want to mess the stamps up and I am excited to use them.
The higher quality photopolymers (like you've purchased) really don't require any pre-treating, however, I do find that they really start to work their best magic after they've been used a few times. ;) So just ink and stamp onto scratch paper a few times and you should be good to go! HTH
(PS - the less expensive vinyl stamps are the ones that usually need to be seasoned... a good scuffing with an eraser will usually help give them more tooth.)
