Let me start by saying, I live in Sacramento, CA, USA.
I was going to take advantage of Ranger's sale offering 45% off products, but when I tried to check out I received the following message:
Tim Holtz® Alcohol Pearls Deception unfortunatley cannot be shipped due to your location. Shipping restrictions prohibit hazmat products to be shipped from US to Alaska & Hawaii. In order to continue, those items must be removed from your cart. :confused:
Has anyone else received this message? I sent Ranger an email about the matter, maybe they'll respond or maybe they won't.
No...but I have not fired my order yet bc I was hoping to hear about the difference in foil tapes. But I am also in NY and we seem to let you ship anything to us while CA is the most stringent? Have you ever had a problem before with getting the AI pearls? I just got some from Ellen Hutson.
That message does not make sense as it does not list CA.
Is that the only AI pearl you have in the order? Like other colors will ship?
This is bad bc I would not expect anyone to be there on a Sunday and it is a one day sale. Do you have enough to ship w/o it?
If you cant get an answer by later today I can buy it for you and ship it to you.
In semi related news-I was just watching a TH vid to see about the foil difference (did not) but did learn something. The blending solution sticks so if you were inhale it is would stick to your lungs and the same with eyes so that is why they dont do it in a spray.

I had 6 AP items in my cart. I was annoyed at first, but it wasn't meant to be. Believe me I've been picking up items here and there with all the other sales.

Maybe California has been added and Ranger hasn’t changed the language. Or they’ve got a glitch.
They do have a flammable thing on the front of the bottle.
Ok then I will go ahead and place my order. Maybe you can get them from another company on sale...
If you send another email to Ranger tomorrow and say hey-I tried to reach you but being a Sunday there was no one around so I could not place my order-...blah blah they might honor the sale prices...I have been fortunate that way in the past with other companies if it was glitch on their part.
It would surprise most people to know what items require an OTR truck driver to have a hazmat license to haul. Not only flammable items, but contents under pressure, which include some packaged food/drink items, such as spray can items and some soft drinks. I would think flight restrictions on such items would be even more restricted due to the atmospheric pressure at higher altitudes. Sometimes it's the packaging rather than the contents.
I finally heard back from Ranger and I won't be ordering from their website in the future. :-| "Thank you for contacting us and we apologize for the issues you encountered. This was brought to our attention by a few other customers and we have since corrected the issue. If you run into any further problems, please reply to this email and we will be happy to assist you further. Thank you for your understanding."

The new 24 carat isn’t on sale at Joggles. The non-24 carat is.
That's ok I'll enjoy playing with them using my stencils.
As for the alcohol inks, I have several bottles of the original formula left over to use up. I'll replace them later.
