I use mostly double sided tape to put projects together always afraid the glue will crack and something will fall off. For the small intricate stuff i need to hook down I use one of the fine tipped glue pens because tape just won't work on the corners of a punch and what not.
I use the ATG gun/tape for larger things like card fronts. I like Tombow Mono Multi liquid adhesive in the green and white bottle for smaller things. Just a few drops here and there works very well. It is somewhat flexible when dry and never cracks or pulls apart.

I love my ATG gun also! For smaller things I have been using the Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. I get it at Walmart for $4 a bottle, and the bottle goes a long way!
is there any warping with the quick dry product, like when you emboss something the paper will warp a little and it drives me nutso. That is one reason i stayed away from glues, but i'm sure i was probably putting too much of it on too. I will have to check out the ATG never heard of that one.
I use Skoowang (scor-tape) I love the stuff it is so sticky and works on any surface even heavy ribbon. I also use Tombow permanent mono adhesive but notice things don't always stick with it. I need to find something to replace it with.
ATG - for putting together cards and other projects
Crystal Effects - adding emblishments
Stick Strip - for putting together boxes and other things that need extra holding power
Glue Dots - for ribbons, lightweight embllishments, and small peices of cardstock
Deminsionals - to pop-up embllishments
SNAIL - I take it with me to card classes and such so I don't have to mess with anything bulky the less I have to take with me the better.
I'm with MissouriGirl, I use a ton of different adhesives! I haven't found anything that is perfect for every occasion - so I use them all!
I love Glossy Accents (just like Crystal Effects) for embellishments, or just shine
Glue Glider, Sookwang or red liner tape for layers
Glue pens for really small (paper) pieces
Glue dots, glue lines and home made glue dots for things that need an awkward size or extra hold over something with texture
I get my 'dimensionals' from TexasJodyLynn on her blog Confessions of a Ribbon Addict (they're made with red liner tape, and they can come in BLACK! awesome!)
Really, I think I might have a problem....

For wet glue I use either Sobo or Zip Dry. Both hold great and neither warps the paper. They're also fantastic for large and/or heavy embellishments. For dry adhesive, right now I'm using Tombow but I'm not thrilled with it. I used it a couple years ago on some scrapbook pages and the adhesive dried up an my pages started falling apart. I did find a really good sticky adhesive at the dollar store, but I can't find it anymore. I do use the terrifically tacky tape also, but its a little on the pricey side. Still looking for a good dry adhesive.

How do you make your own glue dots? They can get pretty pricey after a while.

I can't remember where/who I got the directions from (sorry!) but it's actually very simple. You need a bottle of Aileene's Tack It Over & Over and a sheet of non stick paper stuff (left over backing from a Xyron, parchment paper, etc). Either make drops, lines or whatever shape you want/need on the backing paper and let dry. Drying time depends on how thick you made it and where you are (CO is usually quite dry). Once they're dry you can use them like glue dots.
Not as strong as the regular ones, but they work well for paper especially!

awesome tyvm. Putting it on my list for my next trip out of town!!!!!
I have an ATG and loved it dearly for a few years. I was very heavy into scrapbooking. I now scrap very little. I have gone back to my liquid glue. Between the Beacon brand of Adhesives and the Aleene's brand I have everything I need.
