It really just depends on what you have planned for your die cutting machine which one you should get - the Grand Calibur or the Bigshot Pro. |

Hey DoodahGurl,
I bought the BigKick so I could cut/emboss a few of the larger dies like the Grand Nestabilities.
Also, I heard it was more powerful than my Cuttlebug, so if I want to cut/emboss metal it would work better.
I didn't plan on accumulating alot of the Grand Nesties, maybe just 4 or 5 sets max. Already, I have about 20 different Spellbinder sets( some of these only have a few things in them like the "Fancy Tags").
*The Cuttlebug handles the thick dies , like my Tim Holtz dies very well.
Since I have several Cricut machines, I can cut most shapes.
But, there's just something about that embossed edge that you get w/ the Nesties that I just love !
You are right....I should have bought the GRAND CALIBER.
Unfortunately, I ruined /scratched one of the acrylic plates on the BIG KICK, so I can't return it now.
I hope someone reads this thread, and it helps them, so they don't make the same mistake I did.
