You got me so curious, so I did a really exhaustive search, and here they are! I'm ordering some right now.

The last time I was in AC Moore they had these hanging next to their darice embossing folder display. I think they might have been $12.99

Sizzix has a set of embossing diffusers.

I hope "Set #1" means they intend to offer other sets soon!
I also have a set that was made & sold by a local craft store. It's various shapes cut from matboard and they work well. __________________

We don't have AC Moore here, but I did find them on ebay for a pretty reasonable price.

I'm sure you could make them using chipboard and cutting out the shapes. But having them all ready made was too enticing for me, so I ordered them from ebay.
Here is a video showing the folders in action. You can use them with any embossing folder.

In the wood crafting area of Michaels you can find frames called Creative Shapes with ovals or squares cut in them. Mine says Lara's crafts on it. I think I paid 99 cents for each of them.

At last, something I have -- no need to order something else right now. Chipboard did not work for me but I'm sure some old wooden ornaments will work. TFS
