Target carries cool colored shaped brads in their office supply--stars, hearts, squares etc. Bought mine quite awhile back--the price was very right just can't remember how much now.
Love, Love, Love brads!! And there are several catalogs that sell some really cute shaped ones! I like Paper Wishes and I recently received another company's catalog - but can't remember which one. *sigh*
I love brads! I don't have eyelets(gasp) so I have always just used brads. My current fave is
the vintage looking tiny ones from making memories(I think...)

And I thought I was the only one who had an obsession with brads  I can't help buying every new color/style/shape I see...ARRGGG!
My current "most used" brads are the 1/4" square vintage brads from Making Memories. I had been using the burnished copper almost exclusively until I discovered that the brushed pewter ones looked amazingly elegant with Mellow Moss ink/CS...yowzer!
One other thing I discovered with the tiny square brads - they look better when set "on point" - that is when they are placed on the card to look like a diamond rather than a square...
Brads -- bring them on!
You are so cool! I love the topics you bring up for conversation. First the coluzzle and now the "brads". I must agree with you "brads" that the are very cool. They make life so much easier. Thanks for the Michaels tips too!
My love of brads is how I found Bizzy Bee Eyelets! They have brads, eyelets and nailheads in all kinds of colors shapes and sizes, but my favorites are the square pastel colored (matches Soft Subtles) brads. I wish Stampin Up had some like that, but I understand they can't carry EVERYTHING. I use them for my own stuff, (would never demo them!) but they are really easy to use, I agree. Also, have you read the post about the Spring Mini set, "Alphabits?" You can use that with Crystal Effects and Brads! I will have a wonderful time demo-ing and using that for myself!! What a great way to personalize a card and easy, too.

Try hammering them after you have put them on a card. They take on the look of an embossed dimensional. Like for the center of a small flower.

I agree. This is the cutest way to change the look of the basic brad. I especially love the idea that my upline had which was to use the hammered look for suspender buttons on a stamped image of a farmer bunny. So cute!
I just wanted to say I love brads since hammering eyelets hurts my arms. Some of those eyelets are just to heavy metal for me!
After attaching brads I lightly hit them with a small hammer to better tighten them and also leaves you with less thickness. Put a paper towel over it before you hit it so it doesn't blemish it.
And when mailing them, corrugate a piece of paper or light weight card stock and put it in between the card front and envelope. This will get them through the mail system without tearing the envelope. That works for any type of embellishment.
You can buy the new punch, the new little teenie letter sets, and a box of bigger brads from Office Max or staples or wherever, and put your letters on the brads! (instead of buying the expensive little stickers!)
Dude! What a deal! I just got a set of brads at Target for 99 cents. It has gold, red and blue in stars, hearts and circles. It even comes in a handy dandy box. Woo hoo! I also got a set of pewter and brass circular paper clips for $2.99. Yeah, baby!
