Thanks! I'm anxious to use this method.

Do you print the template out on cardstock or just plain computer paper?

One quick idea is to use the template on here SCS resources and in one of the stamps personalise it by typing in Happy Anniversary or birthday or even names. You are not restricted to any one format and you don't even need to save it. Less space taken up on your computer!

How can I delete a line & number on the faux postage template? Some of you have used it with a long "stamp" on the left and two smaller ones on the right. Or is there another template??

Default Another question about the faux postage

I went to a workshop where we did this technique - the demo had a piece of clear plastic with squares cut out of it so when we stamp in one of the blocks our image (in this case, a flower stem) wouldn't bleed over into the stamp below it.

Does anyone have a template to use to cut the plastic???

What I did was to use the Template in the first post, a transparency sheet and an exacto knife and made my own template. It works great!

HTH!

No, I came in about 1/8" from the lines and cut the rectangles out. That gives a little separation between each stamp. Also, I was told to sponge lightly in the background to match the colors you are using. It looks great that way. You can get lots of ideas in the gallery and there is actually a tutorial in the Resources section. Have fun!!

Or if you still can't find it or get it, send me your email address and I will email it to you. It is in pdf format.

Default mask for faux postage

What I did was use plastic or you could use the cardstock vellum or ?? anyway, I placed it over the faux postage pattern, used a ruler and a pencil...drew lines and then I am not too get with an exacto knife so I used my paper cutter the one S.U. sells where it slides up and down in the ruler. Then I used the repositionable dotto to hold my faux postage from moving and used removable tape to tape the "mask" over the card stock. I then sponged my background lightly and then stamped, colored, etc. I have a number of different faux postage in my gallery if you want to check them out. (ruthiemarykay). Hope this helps. Ruthie
