sour cream container made with photo?
I have seen this done for either a baby shower or wedding, the sour cream container is actually made with a photo, not card stock, does anyone know how to do this?

I would imagine that you just need to print you 4 X 6, roll it into a tube and tabe it and then tape the ends and crimp as you would for the sour cream container...will probably be a different shape but should work...and is a FABULOUS idea!

this is what I saw, but the creator is selling them and did not leave any information for SCS. Just wondering if any one tried this with a picture or just a copy on white cardstock? |
IMO, the photo project could get a bit pricey if using actual photos, depending on the number of containers made. How about trying it with a paper-printed photo to see if you like it? ;)
Here's a great tutorial from our SCS Resources area ... free! Sour Cream Container |
An actual photo would probably end up being a bit cheaper than the ink it would take to print out on your own. My local Sams club does 4 X 6 prints for just .15, I am actually considering this for my sister's wedding shower!

If you have a Walgreens near by and sign up on there website (they'll send you email alerts) you can order prints on special about every other week for .10 cents (50 for $5)

It's the only place I print pics anymore. They have awesone prints and they are cheap. I print a lot of pictures.

Wow, using an actual photo sounds like the way to go. You would probably kill a few printer cartridges printing them out yourself.
