Default Tile Coasters

Is there any other type of paper that will work other than tissue paper? It gets jammed in my printer no matter how well I tape it to the sheet of computer paper...:(

No sure what your question is, and I am in no way an expert. But based on the paper you are trying to feed in the printer, similar product you might try vellum.

I've just tried regular computer paper and it worked - doesn't quite look the same as the tissue paper, but it DOES work. I'm using it for my tile class TONIGHT!

Default Tissue issues

I read somewhere online that you could print out the pic on regular computer paper, then cut your tissue paper just a touch bigger than your image and tape around the edges right on top of the computer paper and feed it through again. I am making these for Christmas gifts, and I too have been frustrated with the tissue paper. I haven't tried it yet, but hopefully it works out for the both of us.
happy crafting!

I did tile coasters for Father's Day. I got frustrated with the tape too so I used two way glue. That worked great. I have to make 16 of them tonight!!

Wink Repositionable Adhesive

I did 60 of these for a retreat weekend a couple of months ago. After researching on the internet, I used a repositionable adhesive ( the one I had on hand was a 3M product). I sprayed copy paper very lightly and actually flipped it over onto scrap paper to make it a bit less adhesive. Then I used 8 1/2" X 11" tissue paper that I'd cut - plain old cheap white tissue that comes in sheets for giftwrap - and layered it onto the copy paper. It fed through my HP printer fine. I was able to get 6 on a sheet (I was making them 3 1/2" square), so did 10 sheets of them. I did have to let them dry a bit, as they were pretty color intensive, so the tissue was kind of damp after it came through. Then I was able to tear it and proceed as usual.

Default paper on coasters

I use tracing paper to print my design and decoupage them onto the tile coaster. My print comes out perfect. The decoupage does take 4 weeks to cure and ensure that it is water proof. To ensure the coasters still absorb some water I only decoupage the image and within 1/4 inch or less around the image. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip about tracing paper!
