Default Technique for card to display

Ladies (and gents),

I am looking for a tutorial or patter for a card that you cut ovals or squares in and when you set it up, it has something hanging in the center. I know this is very vague, but I don't know how else to explain it. If you looked at from the ceiling or sky down, it would look like an "X".

Any help is always appreciated.

Thank you!!

I think you might be looking for the "tri shutter card". Directions in the resources section. It is easier than it looks (thanks to directions) and makes a great impression! Good luck!

If it's not a tri-shutter card then you could achieve what I think you are describing by cutting four panels exactly the same (with your aperture cut in each piece in the same place), scoring down the centres and sticking together four of the faces, sandwiching your thread for the dangling piece where the creases join at the top.

HTH!

It sounds to me like a suspension card but might also be (as previously suggested) a tri-shutter card. Here are helpful links for you to decide:

Maybe a spinner card like this:

Another one (you can see the spinning center a little better)

Or...how about a sort of four sided starbook with the fronts cut out, with your shape hanging from the center???

There's so many possibilities I'm curious which (if any LOL) turned out to be the one originally sought!
