Question Snowflake ornaments

Has anyone seen the beautiful silver and gold snowflakes ornaments Becca Feeken made to advertise Spellbinder's new die of Marvelous Squares? I've been trying to figure out how to use the die (yes, I was sucked into pre-ordering it!) to make the snowflake and I cannot figure out what she did. She is not answering my e-mails asking for a tutorial probably because she is swamped with all the work of promoting her new die/stamp sets. Maybe someone of you clever ladies can help me?

I wonder if the directions would be similar to her tutorial here, just using a different die:

Here is my take on the second one shown. You would trim off the decorative part on two sides. The untrimmed sides are folded in kite fold.

Here's the tricky part, and mine is not quite right. I have tried all sorts of "logical" places to fold the bottom piece up, but none of them comes to exactly the right place. For what it's worth, though, with the folded square flipped over to the back side, I pulled the bottom up and to the right, making a crease through the bottom right hand corner. The other corner meets the center fold of the top point. You can see I penciled the center fold so you can see it.

Open up the left half of one piece and slide another piece into it at a 45 degree angle. I have a cutting mat with the angles printed on it, which helps a lot.

Also, the left hand corners of each section, which is folded in to the center line when you make the kite fold...they will all be on top of each other. This is at the center of the star. (Where my index finger is pointed in the picture that has both pieces, the green one inside the blue one--on the next post) So when you add each new piece, check that the points are at a 45 degree angle, and that corner is exactly under the last one.

Okay, two pics on this post. Let me put a couple more on another.

Continued....
The folded piece from the right side, and two sections slid together. You need 8 sections.

Amazing! Not sure I could pull it off in any way recognizable. That doesn't mean I won't give it a try!

Default to cpeep--thanks

Had a lot of disaster occur lately but finally got to figure out the info on your star ornament. It is a beauty but not quite exactly like the ones Becca made.I guess she will hold the instructions under lock and key and the no-talents like me will suffer on the sidelines with our tongues hanging out. Oh well, that'll teach me to be poor and not one of the better people (rich and talented with power over us schnooks)!
Thanks for your:(:( help.

Becca is a wonderful person who shares her talent with all of us, sometimes life gets busy and she may not answer you straight away but your message is not really fair on her, she is not witholding it she simply hasnt responded yet.

Sorry if you took it as I was down on Becca. I merely was lamenting that she showed us a beautiful thing to make and then got so backed up with all the other beautiful things she makes and perhaps did not realize that we needed her guidance to try to emulate her talent.
Every thing she designs just drips beauty like honey off a comb! She is truly blessed with an artistic mind, may it continue (and be shared with us).;-)

Smile to cpeep--thanks

Dear cpeep,
We had a Wilde-Ideas meeting last night and I asked one of our smart stampers to see if she could make the star like Becca did using your guiding instruction.Lo! and Behold! She figured out that if you SNIP the decorations on the corners to lay flat and you premise of how to lay they into each other---it works! Also, a gold Krylon pen was used to highlight a side or two.
You got me jump-started and I shall runn with this!
Thank you for all you help so freely given from your kind heart.

I'm still confused. Anyone have a step-by-step tutorial on how to create these beauties?

The advice I got on these ornaments was DIRECTLY from Spellbinders---and it was that these were the creations of Becca Feeken and I and ALL OTHERS who wish a tutorial on them, ask HER for one. I know that she is recovering from surgery so I don't look for help for this year's Christmas ornaments but if more people ask, she will most likely put it on a list of requests (which must be a mile-long (:(:!) Her talents are much in demand and she is only one person, so we have to cut her some slack (and put in a few prayers for her speedy recovery). Sorry I couldn't help anyone out--I, too, am lost.... Yes, I believe that is it! By using two different colors (gold and silver0 and cutting out the Spellbinders fancy rectangles (snip under the designed edges to lay flat) for the main body of the snowflake and edging in Krylon pen gold, I believe you have nailed it! I wish we could have collaborated BEFORE Christmas so I could have made something really special for my friends.
Thank you and all of you out there who helped figure this mystery out!
Happy New Year!
