Can anyone out there give me some pointers for sewing on cardstock with a regular sewing machine? I have a customer that is having trouble zig-zagging-said she has adjusted tension but it still isn't working. Is there anything you do different than regular sewing?
What is it that is not working? Is it tearing the paper? What brand of cardstock is she using, is it really thin? I use a regular sewing machine on SU cardstock usually with layer of designer paper and just sew as if it was material.
I dont change anything on my machines setting to sew on cardstock.
a couple of questions could resolve the problem.
Is she sewing through adhesive?
try a fresh bobbin, if her zig zag is a mess the bobbin could be wound wrong.
is the stitching pulling? If I could see a pic of the problem I can better advise.
maybe her length is set too short.
