I am looking for directions on how to do the false monogram technique. Does anyone know what it is?
Thanks!

Hi. I'm fairly new at this and love all the lists and techniques. What I'm wondering is if I missed a technique called Magic Colored Pencils??? I have used colored pencils with my blender penbut have not as yet heard of this particular technique. Could you help please?

fl_beachbum 02-20-2006 04:30 AM

Ok, sorry - hadn't scrolled down and seen the inserted list! Thanks so much - the list really is huge!

Ok the tech you are referring to is done with ART PENCILS and Odorless Mineral Spirits...The brand I use is from www.inkyantics.com and it is called GAMSOL....if you go to the site look under accessories and then you will see a small bottle that is labeled in white....in the write up they have a printable step by step on how to do this technique! I highly reccomend getting the GAMSOL rather than a different brand because the Gamsol comes in a neat little bottle with a felt type dauber tip that allows you to wet your stump for blending with out the fear of tipping an open bottle!!! :)

Can we say WOW! What a list.

Looking it over I saw "Worx Air Gun" listed~ does anyone know anything about these? I did a Google search but didn't come up with anything.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

Art Worx Air gun was a blub type of thing that you would squeeze near your marker and it would fling flecks of ink onto your paper...kinda like airbrushing...

Eileen's Technique List

Wow....I can't believe my list is still floating around out there! I get e-mails from time to time about it (even a day or so ago). I just saw this thread & thought that I'd say hi!

Originally I posted it on my demonstrator e-mail lists that I belong to & then on the SU demonstrator Stampin' Discuss....years ago. Of course there are changes here & there I see & some people have taken off my name as from the Tech List. Long ago I did not back up this rather large list on my computer....the computer crashed. I was so bummed. I have learned since then! But I guess if it's out there I can still view it. Makes me feel good that people still enjoy the list even though I haven't updated it in many years.

Have a good one!

Technique List?

 I'm just now starting, and came across the BIG ZIP file. I saw a few messages after that that there was more?? help? is there still more than one file to complete the list or has it been combined? I'm confused!!!

Thanks much!

Keri, thanks so much. Looks like a whole lifetime of work you have compiled.

For those of you who are trying to copy this wonderful list, just open Keri's link, select copy to a folder on your computer, open the file on your pc and change the margins to .5" This will reduce the document to 85 pages.

Looks like we all have lots to do now!!! Thanks again Keri!!!

Eileen you are the greatest!!! Did you compile the list? It certainly must feel awesome to have so many people enjoying your hard work. Have a fantastic day!!!!

Keri,

You weren't kidding! Thank you so much for posting this. I just signed up for a rolodex swap where we'll be making different techniques alphabetically. Not only did the list come in handy to think of which technique I wanted to do, but know I also can work my way through and expand the rolodex on my own.

On another note, I saw your post for the cards for soldiers. What a great idea and effort you are putting forth. Thanks for letting us participate as well.

Keri,

Ok, I realize this thread was posted back in 2004, but thought I would ask anyway to see if you might still have this file of stamping techniques stored somewhere. I am fairly new to stamping and Splitcoaststampers, and I love them both!! I did try to open the zipped file with no success. Is there a chance you might be able to help? I appreciate your time!

AmyN

P.S. Love your blog!! Neat to see cardmaking and jewelry design in one place. Jewelry making is one of my hobbies, too although it has been awhile since I've played with my supplies. I am going to add you to my google reader and who knows...you might inspire me to get out my beads again! :) Thanks for sharing you talent! Have a great day.

Sereikastamper 07-19-2011 05:28 PM

Amy if you send me your email in a PM I will see if I can email you the file. :)

Techniques Huge List

I've been using this list for quite awhile now and I love it. I'm more of a visual learner so I was hoping that someone could direct me to where I could find images to go with the techniques. Thanks

I don’t know if this will help or if you have already seen this, but many techniques with visuals here.

That is a great gathering of techniques and ideas. So often, I think I would like to do a technique; but have forgotten where I filed that idea. This is a great list and one that we can add to as we hear of new techniques.

A big thanks!
