Default Artfully Asian Background

I thought I would try something different and I wanted to share my experience with making this Asian newspaper background image. My daughter went with her grandparents to Chinatown in Vancouver B.C. and she had a great time. She brought back some treats for everyone. Some were wrapped in a Chinese newspaper, and I thought I could use it to make a card. I was right.

To make the back ground you first need a newspaper in this case a Chinese one. I took the news paper a riped it up into various size. Then cut a piece of white card stock that you need. Bigger is better. Then its as simple as gluing the pieces to the white card. Also I took Creamy Caramel and More Mustard stamp pads and stamped the pad down all over the paper after it has dried. I think it adds to the effect and overall appearance of the finished card.I have a few pictures to show my finished card.

I love the first card. It's beautiful. However I will tell you that I really love the pig one. What a fantastic idea!

I've been saving an old Chinese newspaper (really!) in the hopes that someday I'd figure out what to do with it. Glad you shared! Your cards are awesome.
