Default Pearl Ex VS Twinkling H2Os...

Would someone advise the difference between Pearl Ex and Twinkling H2Os? I have Pearl Ex but love all the colors I've seen on-line in the H2Os. Thanks to all for your input and preferences.

Hi... I have both because I must buy everything i see and I love them both... but differently... i am fairly new to stamping so please take this as my opinion only and not the facts, ma'am! the pearlex is great to use over versamark and the effect is SO pretty and sheer almost... but I found that the twinkling h20's can be translucent or opaque depending on how much water you use... also, they dont rub off like the pearlex... I bought 3 sets of the twinlkers.. the small pots and i have really enjoyed them...I hope that this helps...

What is a Twinkling H2O? Where do you purchase them?

Thanks, Princess! Having to seal the Pearl Ex is the only issue I have with that product. I am a frustrated water color artist at heart so am very interested in the Twinkling H20s.

I bought both at the same time and I use the H2O's constantly, PE almost never. They are my favorites. I tend to use watercolor paper with them just because other cardstock tends to warp from the water. I love stamping a simple image or verse in black over a couple of "swirls" of H2O colors. I love them and use them all the time.

PE is basically a powder form of the H2O's. PE can be used many ways; one of which is to make it up into pots of watercolors, say, H2O's. The H2O's are basically grab and go....there's no prep involved. However, there's also not much variety in ways to use it.

With PE, you can use it wet or dry. You can mix it with embossing powder. You can mix it with polymer clay or just brush it over the top of a piece of clay. You can make your own H2O's, lol!

It really just depends on two things....which colors you prefer and how do you want to be able to use it?

I love the H2O's and use them more often (they are less messy and I love to watercolor) but you can also mix the Pearl ex with embossing powder. As someone else already said it's more versatile. Get some H2O's though to play - they really are fun.

THANKS TO ALL FOR YOUR INPUT. What a great place SCS is! There is more versatility in the PE to be certain but there goes some more $$ on the h2os!
