Default One Sheet Wonder Concept

Please understand I'm new to this site and love it. Very talented group!!

I'm curious about the One Sheet Wonder Concept and since my SU Demonstrator does not offer this concept I have a few questions:
Once the sheet has been stamped and you are ready to cut, do you measure and draw on the sheet according to the template dimensions that are supplied here on this site?
I'm mostly a 12x12 scrapbooker so how would this work for scrapbooking?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yeah I draw the dimensions on the other side of the stamped images and cut. You can use it to make a scrapbook that has a common theme on every page.

Hi scatty,

yes, you take the measurements of the template and cut your stamped piece accordingly.

You can use the One sheet Wonder concept for scrapbooking as well. Stamp a 12x12 paper and then divide it up for scrapbook pages. I don't know if we have a template for that already in the gallery. I would definetly have some long strips (2x 2 1/2" strips) for side or top and bottom border, some journaling boxes (if you use bright colors you can add vellum over it to write on), a title strip....even a picture mat with it would be great.

Hugs and smiles.

You can draw the template... maybe on the back. But mostly, you just start cutting. I have used stirps in my scrapbooks for titles or for journaling... I have also cut squares for an extra embellishment.

You can really do just about anything. Just take your sheet... for 12 x 12 scrapbooks, you may to use a 12 x 12 sheet of paper, then stamp and start using pieces. I have used an 8.5 x 11 sheet, used some pieces for a 12x 12 layout and then used the rest for cards also.

Have fun and I hope this helps!!

Default Thank you for the replies so far

just want to make sure I understand:

According to the templates, you measure, draw them out and start cutting?

I never draw it on the back. I just start cutting according to the template.

Maybe to clarify: probably most of us are cutting these with a rotary or blade-type paper trimmer, which has a ruler on it. So, no need to mark off the cutting pattern on the back or front of the sheet unless you're using scissors.

Oh my goodness...I can't cut a straight line to save my life with scissors! I could never image my stamping life without one of my four large paper cutters! Hmm...sounds like I have a paper cutter obsession, doesn't it? LOL!

Just one other question in regard to cutting these sheets:

Do you start left to right, top to bottom?

Thanks so much everyone!!
