Lightbulb Moment! YAHOO!
So... today I was thinking about what I could do with my new punches. I realized I could make a FRAME with the new designer label tag punch! All you need to do is get a piece of CS and punch a 1 inch circle in it. Put the circle aside for masking later. Then, center your designer punch over the 1 inch circle and punch again. This will create a FRAME with the new punch!
THEN I did the same with my oval punches! I punched on a piece of CS with the small oval, then centered the large oval and punched again. This creates an OVAL FRAME!
I also made my label punch into a ribbon slider by punching the label punch out of a piece of CS, then using the slot punch to make an area the ribbon can slide through. I used the 1 inch circle punch and matted it ON the punched label to create this card:
Thanks for the wonderful idea, Jody! I have been playing around with the designer punch and will love adding this to the list of things it can do! My oval punches will be arriving on Monday!!
Wouldn't the oval-on-oval frame be great with metallic cardstocK?!? It would look like the hodgepodge hardware pieces. My customers won't spring for the hodgepodge, but I bet they'd be interested in the two oval punches!
I gotta get to work creating some samples of the many uses of the oval punches!
Oh, heck! Now I have to spend more money! Love these ideas! TFS!

I love your lightbulb moments, too! These are all wonderful ideas!! Guess I'll be ordering some punches soon! I was planning on stamps but I think I'll have to go for the punches instead.

That's a great tip. The funniest thing is I was driving for 8 hours in the car today with nothing else to do but think (and listen to the kids whine) and I thought about the circle punch/label punch combo. I was going to have to wait until I got home to try it and now I see that you thought it up and have a sample already! Thanks for sharing it!!
I have been making frames with my punches for quite a while excpet I was using the circles and squares...I am so excited that there are more shapes to do it with now!!!

And here's something else you can make with your circle punch - a flower vase!
great ideas! I was thinking of getting the cool new tag punch and using it instead of the label stamp set - but the punch in the middle should be more appealing.
