I do the same and if I need to get ink out of the cracks I just use a soft toothbrush (which sits by the sink!) If it is real stubburn I rub it with the cleaner I get at walmart (by the stamps) - took off white craft ink!

Now there's a good use for those cleaners in applicator bottles. I also don't have any luck with the scrub. I usually just wipe it with a damp rag, but if it's a really messy one... I also keep meaning to find a soft toothbrush to use for cleaning sometimes, and I want to steal some of the baby wipes (non alcohol) DH got for camping.

I wasn't sure if rinsing it under the water would have any adverse effect. Thanks for mentioning that!

maybe it's just me, but I'm A-retentive enough that I roll my over the stamp scrubber thing after each use (and by use I mean I roll it across paper and clean it immediately on scrubber) and it keeps them nice and clean. I've never had to do anything else to them.

Have I missed the boat here or what? I spray the bottle cleaner on my cleaning pad and rub the stamp over that then on the dry pad. It always works accept with basic black that stains. I also paint the wood part of my stamps around the rubber with clear nail polish. Helps to keep the stamps from getting all yukky after ink gets on them.

the reason I posted this question was that I was finding with the spray and scrub dark inks and especially versmark(even though its clear) were left behind. all of the idea were very helpful, I'll definetly use that toothbrush next to my sink more often!! hehe

Lakepenny, she was asking about the stamping around, the wheels. No wood to worry about!
