OR use pigment/craft ink with the inking the negative tutorials that are out there, then embossing with heat-n-stick powder and glittering that?
I'd have to second this idea, you can see a tiny bit of the darker blue on some of the raised parts...so my guess would be she used craft ink with the negative inking technique, or it's sanded/spread with white ink after embossing...

My guess is white craft ink to the cuttlebug folder. Glitter paper inserted into the cuttlebug folder and then ran through the cuttlebug machine. I did one using ink to the shell folder and all I did is put ink on it and add some white gel pen on the shell to perlize it.
i think she might of used glue pad or something sticky on the cb folder then ran it through. Then applied glitter to it. (the glue is not on te letters though)
It looks like the embossed part is vellum, then stuck on the glitter paper with brads.
Vellum loses its transparency where it bends and the words appear outlined in "opaque".

I just had to try this and I think its vellum too. It looks like a vellum layer on the card posted. I tried cardstock and paper. The cardstock letters show up much better, but the paper is more see-through. Maybe the original designer will come forward so we'll know for sure!
Here's the directions that PollyannaBanana sent me (hope she doesn't mind me sharing) on how she made the card:
*versamarked the front inside of cuttlebugfolder(the side that says provocraft backwards when you open it up),
*ran it through machine as usual
*quickly sprinkled embossing powder on it (I used glittered)
*heated with an embossing gun
Hello Everyone! I am pretty new to SCS and I had no idea that this thread was here or how this even worked. Jenshep, I replied to your message (I think I did anyway! Like I said, I am pretty new to all this!) Anyways here is how I did this!

I got mine at Michael's... Stampendous! Star Dust Transparent is what I used on mine. :o)
Phantom- Hooray for trolls! I am a transplant Yooper, but I have been here for about 5 years (I just finished my degree at NMU).... and I do say "Eh?" so I think I am pretty acclimated! ;)
Thank you so much for your willingness to share the instructions on how you did the glittered cuttlbug. I appreciate it and cannot wait to give it a try :-D
Dear Glitter Queen - thanks so much for sharing this technique. I just bought a cuttlebug machine this past weekend and am looking forward to trying it out. Do you have any "hints" or other unique techniques that you like to use on the cuttlebug? Thanks so much.

There are lots of threads with great advice for techniques, hints, etc. Just use the search box to find them. Of course the best two places for inspiration are Indigo Inklings and Heart Prints, you will find hours of fun stuff on those sites!
Enjoy your 'bug... welcome to the addiction!

Definitely try the latter technique by Pollyannabanana, i saw and tried the one that was linked earlier in this thread . while I was trying to add the my focal point to the glittered layer - the glitter was wiping off. Glittered embossing powder seems more stable - will try the next time. Also if anyone has suggestions as to how to make sure something sticks to a layer that is both dry embossed and glittered.... let us know. i woound up doing what I could with brads b/c adhesive- both snail, and ATG would not hold to the base.

You Michigan stamping geniuses need to send some of your talent down here to the THUMB! LOL
(For the rest of you, the THUMB is geographically inferior. :(
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful idea, Pollyannabanana! Can't wait to try it!

I don't know about this particular combination but whenever I'm trying to adhere to a tricky base (even just embossed with crystal clear), I stick with (haha!) glue dots or tacky tape.

I know where Marlette is!! One of my sisters lives in Lexington and we visit often! And yes... the geography of the thumb...well... it's different. But I would never say inferior ;) Glad to hear there are stampers and SCSers there!!
