Default Directions for Gift Pouches

Have you seen the 6x6 Pouches in the gallery -

Supplies Needed:
1 Piece of Cardstock (cut 6 wide by approx 8-11 long the length will depend on what you want to do with the pouch flap)
1 Piece of Cardstock optional (cut 6 x6 to stamp on and place inside the protector)
6x6 Page Protector (I think SU ones work well they are strong but any vendor 6x6 works)
Other optional supplies : you can use Velcro to close the pouches, some use ribbon with hodge podge, some tie the pouch with a ribbon try different variations. Check out the links to samples below the directions.

Directions:
Take the 6x6 page and cut the ring end off but leave the sealed edges on it. Cut your cardstock to 8 1/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches wide (some people use different measurements but I found this is what I liked best. Fold over the paper at the 6 line leaving a 2 inch flap coming over. There are several things to do with your flap.. take a corner punch and round the edges then use velcro and a button to fancy it up, punch a hole or a slit and run ribbon, twine etc thru and around to hold the flap down. Tear the edge for a different look, make a diagonal flap etc.
Stamp the paper in areas that will be visible on the pouch, I do both sides as depending on how the pouches sit in there you can see the stamped design thru. (or you can use the extra 6x6 piece in a different color and stamp place inside the pouch for a different look). I use the sticky tape to stick the 6x6 pouch to the cardstock, make sure the opening is at the top where the flap will come down. Fix your flap to how you like and add embellishments.
Recently I was a hostess of a 6x6 pouch swap the swapees and I made 2 coordinating cards to go in each pouch they are great to give as gifts, we did a baby group, floral groups and a thank you group. Check out some of the pouches from that swap in my gallery below .. it was one of the most successful swaps I have ever done so much that I was convinced to do another one and most of the 1st swap participants want in on it. Want to get some new ideas then think about joining the swap.. click on the link below!

Check out the various pouches you can make: (Some pictures are a tad blurry and dont do the pouches justice due to my dial up I have to reduce the quality)

This one is one of my fav ones I did for this swap in the thank you category I wasnt sure about it at first but it all came together beautifully.

Thank you for the nudge. I absolutely have to do some of these. Quite a while ago I bought a fair amount of "other" cs, and, typically for me, have been trying to use it before buying SU - but I have anorder coming and I think that will make a lot of difference in the results. Thank you!

Default Woohoo! I made one!

I was a little confused by the directions, though.

I cut my paper a little smaller than the width of the pouch and put it inside.

If I did this right, the picture should be attached...

Otherwise, I need a tutorial on uploading.

Thanks for looking!

I have one on my blog, but instead of cards inside I stamped a notebook, a pen, candies, & two magnets. Check it out: http://jenstamps.typepad.com/photos/...s/0604064

I am confused about the 6x6 page protector. Does it come in that size or do you have to cut down a full size proctector? If you cut it down, how do you seal the open side?

Default Confused

I'm very confused, but I don't get why you put the page protector on the front. Why not just put the stuff inside the pouch?
