Default Craft ink on onsies?

Can you use craft ink on fabric? Is that the same as a fabric paint? Will it wash out? Is it safe enough for baby's skin? Seems like an adorable and fun idea. Help please. Lori

Craft ink is actually recommended for stamping on fabrics!

Once you heat set the ink, it should be permanent. Just to be sure it takes, though, you should launder (without using fabric softeners or dryer sheets) anything you plan to stamp to remove the sizing. It's nontoxic, and I would think it's gentle enough for touching delicate skin. I've seen several adorable examples of baby onesies that were stamped with craft ink -- my upline even had one as a sample a few years ago at one of her workshops!

Heat tool, a dry iron, or your dryer set on high -- any of those should work! Mind you I've never actually tried stamping on fabric before, but in junior high when painted t-shirts were all the rage at slumber parties we'd set the final product with a good tumble through the dryer. The picture on mine was still intact many years later!

Hey, row4d, thanks so much for your help on this issue! I've often wondered how it was done, and am hoping to try this at a stamp camp! Thanks, again! God bless!
