Default any hints or tips fro stampin' on flour sacks?

Do I need to wash them first? Can I use classic ink pads? Do I need to heat set it? Any help would be apreciated, thanks.

Wash them first, DON'T use a dryer sheet when drying, use craft ink, use the stampamajig so that you can restamp in the same place to get the amount of color that you want, let dry for a bit, then heat set with a piece of wax paper on top of the image and a hot iron. I've been told that the colors stay true longer when you use 100% cotton or linen, rather than a poly blend. Hope that helps! Good luck with your project.

Renee

One other option is to make an "iron on." Just stamp and emboss your image on lightweight paper, and then iron that onto your flour sack. I did this with the Toile Blossoms set and navy EP, and everyone comments on it at workshops. Avoid words, though, as they will be backwards. Good luck!

One other tip - when you place your stamp, allow it to sit there for a little bit for the ink to soak into the fabric before you remove the stamp.

Good luck with your project.
