I read all the messages on the other thread, but I didn't figure out the answers to these questions:
Okay, is there a way to make these pens with the Sticky Strip that SU makes, and SU's microbeads? I have those, and the RSVP pens. Now what is it you stamp on? Can I stamp on copy paper and put it inside the barrel of the pen? How do I put on the Sticky Strip that it will cover the whole pen?

Susan,
I haven't figured it out myself, so hope someone can tell us how they use the sticky tape in our catalog to cover the pen.
I am *hoping* for full sheets of super tacky adhesive in the new catalog for this very reason!
I usually use my sticker maker to make a sticker out of the stamped copy paper and adhere this to the outside of the pen. Then I lay the sticky strip lengthwise on the pen. It takes about 5 strips but if laid correctly, there won't be any gaps. Then take off the pink part of the strip and roll in microbeads. It is super easy and fast once you get the hang of it.
I have heard of others using the Avery labels to stamp on as they are the perfect size to put on the pens.
I use the Avery self adhesive labels. I can't remember the exact measurments though. I usually get the 2" x 4" and then cut them to size. You can also use computer paper and just use mono to adhere it to the pen. You want to make sure you stick it to the outside of the pen. I've tried to put it in the barrell and you lose the definition of the stamped image & it wrinkles very easy. Hope this helps!
I have made several pens they look great but then they start to split at the seams! Please help!
Are you making them with cardstock? The first one I tried was with cardstock & that did split at the seams after awhile, but I have had no problem with the ones I made with the Avery labels.
