It kind of bothers me that the line is there, but yes I do use them. I agree, it would be wasteful, (and expensive) to just use half the pad.

I did see on someone's blog that they had theirs made with two cuts. First a cut to cut OFF the border with the line. Then another cut to cut the remaining pad in half. It made the notebooks quite a bit smaller, with that border trimmed before cutting the rest in half.

It would also cost more, because Kinko's charges by the cut. So I think I'm going to stick with using the lined portion too.

Thanks for the reply. SIGH...I guess I will use the lined side also. Just really hate doing it. Cutting the line off first sounds like and option, but I will check on the cost of that.

You're in luck, looks like Papertrey Ink will be selling those pre cut notebooks now. 10 for $6. Check it out here.
