Wht is Penscore?
I just saw one of the most beautiful cards in the gallery and she used "penscore". What is that?
|
i wouldn't mind knowing either...sounds interesting
|
well i did a search on the internet on penscore...it looks like it is foam that you can heat and mold it on to anything you want to become a stamp and then use it like a stamp...when you are done with that...then you heat it up again and you can do something else...you can use it over and over again
|
That sounds so cool! Thanks for the info.

Video tutorial
Here is a video tutorial on using the Penscore magic foam for making your own stamps. It's a good one and well done. HTH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT0NUypH1ws

Where do you get the magic foam?

Source for Penscore Magic Foam
Here is a site which was noted by another Splitcoast member (on the General Stamping category under Penscore ...) http://www.dollmakersink.com/penscor...oam-stamps.htm
She said she ordered from them and they had the best prices she'd found. You might want to check them out. I, personally, bought mine from an eBay store eBay My World: evad250 There are lots of sites which carry this product and in many different shapes and forms ... even sheets. I do not know of any retail outlets which sell it but that doesn't mean that there aren't any. Anyone know of a retail store offering this for sale? |
Thank you for help - I'll check it out. It's looks very interesting!

I bought this product years ago and rearely use it. You can do the same thing with the any craft foam. The difference is that the magic foam is thick so you can hold it but you can use a piece of double stick tape on the back of thin foam and then mount it to your acrylic block after you mold the foam and get the same effect.
Steps Cut foam to the size you want Heat and press into what ever object you want (don't overheat or you'll melt the foam) slap a piece of dbl stick tape on the back of the foam stick foam on acrylic block ink foam and stamp clean off ink, remove tape, and its ready for the next time I've pressed it into sea shell, parts of rubber stamps, coins, anything that has an interesting surface. |
Do a search for "penscore" for card examples

Wow!

Very cool stuff! I mostly like it for using on the embossing folders. You can have a stamped effect without any embossing that matches your embossed card.
