Default Travel mug help

I wanted to make a stamped travel mug for Father's Day with my sunday school class. I searched all over to find those mugs, and found two. Then I couldn't get them apart. I did a search here on splitcoast and someone else had asked the same questions, but they asked to be pm'd. Please, could someone post to the group how to do this, so we can all know? I ended up doing a different project, but I'm still determined to do the cup! TIA

I found out there were 2 different type travel mugs from the dollar store!

One mug has a flip type thing that covers the hole to drink out of...this one does NOT come apart.

The other one has a slide type thing that covers the hole to drink out of....This one does come apart. You just have to work the lid off, then the whole inside of the plastic pulls out.

Hope this helps!

The ones that I bought at the Dollar Tree, the bottoms come off. Getting the paper out is tricky. I about threw mine at the wall before I figured it out. If you have any trouble PM me, and I will try to explain how I do it. I love doing them. My scanner is messed up, or I'd show you. I have made several. Good luck!Denise

Thank you for the help! I think I got the kind that DO NOT come apart. I tried steaming them, prying them, etc. and nothing worked. So, guess I will keep searching for the right kind! I love the examples in the gallery, and really want to do this!
