What is the difference between.....

Versafine and Versamagic. I'm venturing into the acrylic world and I've gathered tons of great tips. I have a Momento Tuxedo dewdrop to use with then and I also want to get some colours too. What do I go with? TIA
As usual, SCS rocks!

Versafine and Versamagic

They are two different inks made by the same company, Tsukineko. Versamagice is a pigment ink. Versafine is an oil based dye ink that was created for fine detail stamping. Momento is a new name for an old ink from this same company. They used to have a dye based ink called Impress, they reformulated the ink, created some great new colors and gave it a new name. Momento is a VERY fast drying dye ink.

You can emboss with both Versamagic and Versafine ink. You can not emboss with Momento.

If you turn your ink pad over there is a plethora of information that will tell you on what surfaces a particular ink can be used. There are also 'ink charts' available that can be used to compare inks and what they will and will not do. You may want to check your local rubber stamp store to see if they have them available. You can also get a great deal of information by just going to www.tsukineko.com and reading about their inks.

Hope this helps.

I purchased some of the Memento dew drops in the various colors and I'm very pleased with them. They give nice coverage... just as good as the VersaMagic chalks. :)
