Default My unsuccessful attempt at stamping on glass

I tried making some stamped square vases/candle holders for my bunco group prizes. I tried the stazon and used some ink mixed with DG. That didn't go very well. It all scratched easily then just rubbed off with water. Then, I tried stamping on the tissue paper, coloring in, and using DG to adhere to the glass. That didin't work at all. So...I'm sticking to paper. This was one of those projects where it sounded fairly easy but just isn't. I need to get comfortable with paper first I guess.

The only way I've heard of stampin on glass -

Is to stamp on the glass with versamark (using the stamp you wish - solid designs work best) and sprinkle on embossing powder and emboss. Takes a bit for it to melt and the glass WILL get hot.

THEN you need to use etching cream...follow instructions on bottle and make sure to use protective gloves. (basically leave the cream on for specified period of time and then wash off)

Peal off/scrap off (don't scratch the glass) the embossing powder and your stamped image will be clear and around it etched.

Also try a search as I'm sure someone on Splitcoaststampers has examples.
