Waterslide cards
Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has heard of waterslide cards and how to make one?? My friend saw them on tv and described them as waterfall cards with a difference....in that the panels that flip are longer (length of the card) and flip horizontally and the mechanism is folded differently and comes up through a slit in the card... I have tried searching on line to no avail.... Any ideas anyone??? Hugs, Minerva |
I think what you are looking for is called the waterFALL card. Here's a link to the tutorial. They are lots of fun. Good luck.

variations on waterfall card
I often make mine with each of the four pieces different lengths, so the top on hides the other three until you pull - so using the tutorial, instead of 4 2x2 pieces of colored cardstock, you'd cut it 2x2, 2x2 3/4, 2x 3 1/2, 2x 4 1/4.
When you attach the pieces, the 2x2 one goes on first, at the end, the 2 x 2 3/4 just above it, etc. All four pieces will line up at the bottom. That is probably the technique your friend saw in the card. It wouldn't matter whether you set it to pull down or out to the right. Either way it works. --Cindy in State College |
