Can someone point to directions for stamping on glass slides?

Thanks so much, Ihave a friend visiting who was asking me about this technique. Have you ever seen the slides that were directly stamped on?

Barb ... I haven't seen the slides. I recalled the technique because I have about 50 slides (but they are packed; we thought DH was getting transferred out of state so lots of our stuff is packed. Since we will still end up moving, but probably not for a year, we are trying to do without most of what is already packed and labeled.)

Anyway, all of that was to say that I look forward to any tips you and your friend might be able to provide. If I have a chance later I will see if I have anything else saved.
