Thats exactly what I was thinking DUH... how come I've never thought of that, especially on the numerous occasions that I've complained that my By Definition stamp just isn't suitable for what I need it for!!

Thanks ladies, what a great idea!

Oops, I meant to add that I printed out the aviation definition because we were going to an aviation museum for his birthday party! It was a lot of fun!

I totally agree with that one....I loved the basketball one (pre-done and ready) and I am sure people would love to have other definition sheets ready to go: friend, gratitude, flower, vacation, etc. etc. I'd be willing to make some if we had a place to put them!

We could start a thread and attach the ones we have made onto our posts.
Where would it be best to do this? In template and techniques or the resources forum?
Any other ideas on how to make this work?

Has anything been done about this?

Cindy, thanks for sharing this. I've never thought of doing a larger version on a card; however, I have done it once on transparencies with smaller
definition of "recovery" for a get-well card and added colored cardstock
behind the transparency sentence and a brad attaching it. Nice look also.
I'm going to use this idea more, thanks for sharing Carolyn

This could also be done with scrappers using patterned paper, torn affect,
and stickers/ribbon/embellishments for a homemade card. Carolyn

What a terrific idea. Did you know you can now download a toolbar for your web browser, so you can look up a definition anytime, without having to go to Merriam-Webster site?

Here's the link:

http://www.m-w.com/toolbar/

great fun!

Thanks so much for this great resource - these are the kind I really like, where you can be as creative as you want without having to BUY something new. Much appreciated!

You can also just copy the same word or phrase over and over in a document and print it up in the same or different fonts. I have a couple of examples, I'll try to attach them.
