Using Your Marbles
I was recently at a group meeting and saw this technique demo'd and I tried it today and it worked great! Here is what you need and do:
Five or Six Marbles (like the kind kids play with - got a bag at the $ store) Empty stamp case three or four reinkers cardstock temp. adhesive Wipe out the stamp case (I ordered the medium size from SU). Work from lightest to darkest, one color at a time. Add a couple of drops of reinker to the case and drop in the marbles. Close and shake around. Apply temp adhesive to one side of the cardstock and attach to the lid. Close and turn upside down and roll the marbles around on the cardstock. Repeat with the remaining re-inkers. If you just have one case, rinse out and dry well between each color. Also rinse and dry the marbles, or switch out with each color. This makes an interesting "splatter" background. Many of you may have already done this technique, but it was new to me and I found it quite fun to do. I don't have a digital camera, so I will take my samples to work on Monday and scan in to upload so you can see what I made with them. Happy Friday. Cathy |
Thanks for the fun technique. And BTW, love the title you used for posting. I wasn't sure what to expect.
