Default using glitter... HELP!

Good Morning everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me... I am attempting to use glitter on my cards and can't seem to make it stick. I stamped my supersize snowflake using the "Palette stamp& stick gluepad", heated it slightly (like dierctions state), sprinkled the Martha Stewart craft glitter, let dry and it rubbed right off. So, then I attemted it again using VersaMark pad with Stampendous crystal snow fine glitter and it too rubbed off! Please help!
Any suggestions?:(

SU's Heat & Stick powder has worked for me (stamp in Versamark, pour on HS powder, heat, then apply glitter). Versamark alone will not work. Other options would be:
1. mix the glitter with clear embossing powder (don't know ratio, wouldn't do more than 50% glitter, and would make sure it's ultrafine glitter).
2. glue - I use the two-way glue pen, but I suppose any wet glue would work.
3. crystal effects - apply a layer of CE and then sprinkle with glitter. The large snowflake would be more difficult with this technique.

I know there are probably dozens of other ideas out there. Good luck.

These are exactly what I do too. Sometimes to do just a small dot of glitter (say, a flower center) I apply a glue dot to the CS and glitter it. Good luck!

I use the SU! 2-way glue pen to adhere glitter; I think that's probably the easiest thing. Also, you could buy the Irridescent Ice embossing powder from SU! It's the same idea as mixing glitter with clear embossing powder, but it's already done for you. Then just use a versamark pad, sprinkle on the Irridescent Ice, heat and voila! That sparkle isn't going anywhere.

Jennifer, I clicked on the link to your blog and didn't see any entries - I only saw "sidebar" info: your pic, the companies you work for, etc.

Versamark is not a glue...it is an embossing ink. It stays sticky just long enough for the powder to be melted with a heat gun.

If you want to use Versamark, I would suggest using an embossing powder with glitter in it, like Irridecent Ice from Stampin' Up!. You can also make your own by mixing ultra fine glitter into clear embossing powder.
