Using Craft Ink on tile coasters?
 

Will this work, or smear everywhere? I am looking for a way to stamp tile coasters (preferably without having to heat set or seal) with snowflakes in Bashful Blue for my sister's wedding, and Stazon doesn't come in Bashful Blue! If anyone can give me any tips (or even tell me that this is a very bad idea), I would soooo appreciate it!

If you are using the matte finish unglazed "tumbled marble" type of tiles then yes, it will work just fine with the craft pads. I always heatset mine after stamping to make them permanent (just bake at 350 or so, no hotter for about 15 minutes should do it, don't go too hot or too long as the tiles can brown somewhat). Another option might be to stamp off lightly with the StazOn the lighter blue, what was that called....sorta turquoise look, not the Ultramarine. That MIGHT give you the look you are after but the only way to be sure is to try it.

If you are using the slick glazed tiles then nevermind, it won't stay on once it gets wet no matter what. You can seal it with a spray sealer but it's a pain to do and you need multiple coats but the edges of those tiles are rough and not as attractive as the tumbled marble. Hope that helps! Jan
