You can buy 8 1/2 x 11 transfer paper. I have some for ink jet printers. Sorry, I don't remember where I got it (most likely Staples or Michael's) nor how much it cost. Photo has to be in digital format.

Several years ago, I bought a roll of PhotoFabric at Hancock Fabrics (I think). It's about 8" wide (so it fits in most home printers) on a roll of several yards. It's got a paper backing that just peels off. No sticky residue. You just cut the length you need and feed into printer. The roll comes with instructions. Can't remember what it cost, though.

This response is a little late, but... If you don't have a printer, or your photo isn't digital, you can get a liquid called Photo Transfer medium at just about any craft store (I know Michaels carries it). You photocopy (in colour) your photo in mirror image mode (take it to a photocopy centre - they'll know what you're talking about). The transfer medium will have instructions on the bottle how to complete the project. Hope this helps, even a little late....

ETA: If you have a digital photo, a lot of photo printers will also print your picture to photo transfer sheets for you as well. Haven't any idea what they would charge, but its another option.
