Try this with Pearl-Ex...
I have been playing with acetate (aka "window sheets") and had one of those happy accidents while experimenting, so I wanted to share!
I stamped an image onto the front of the acetate with black StazOn. Then I "painted" the back of the image with a "paste" made from Pearl-Ex mixed with Crystal Effects. The CE dries really fast, so I only mix a small amount of color at a time...about a dime-sized puddle of CE (or less) with just enough PE to make the sticky "paste." I painted it with a small watercolor brush; work fast and then wash the brush with some soap and water. So far, I have done the butterfly from Botanicals and the dragonfly and a butterfly from Wonderful Wings. (I'm thinking that fall stamps would be beautiful done in the golds/coppers...) This use of PE is very beautiful and sooooooo easy! Give it a try! :D Melissa |
Oh Oh Can you post a picture ? I would love to see this!

Sounds fun, thanks for sharing!

Dorinda,
I'm away from home (and scanner!) right now, so I will post when I return. Happy Stamping! Melissa |
Thanks Melissa, looking foward to your pics!

I did something similar using plain elmers glue. It dries a little more slowly than the CE.
http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...cat=500&page=2 I embossed my image first though. |
I painted PE on the back of a stamped acetate using Future floor finish in a water brush. Just dip in the PE and paint. It dries fairly fast too (and smells nice). I'd love to show you my sample, but it's in the Dirty Dozen gallery!
