Stamping on H2O bottles

For my DD's b-day "goodie bag", I'd like to hand out sport water bottles. But I'd like to stamp their names on the bottles. Anyone tried this? Will stazon stay on? If any doubts, I think I'll just make water bottle tags - my demo did this at a camp.

i cut a strip of paper/cardstock the width of the label and sent it thru my xyron machine after i stamped it with enough to overlap by 1/2" or so. then i attached a tag (or whatever you want) to a ponytail holder and stretched that around the bottle that way everyone knows which is theirs-very cute!
i got lotsa compliments and wonders of how i did it-hehe.
