Transfer It - Please Help
 

Hi all!

I just joined your (now mine, also) group last night. I am a relatively new crafter (was a bit of a computer nerd before I retired), but of course, am completely addicted now! First, I have to comment that I have never "met" anyone more generous or more talented than all of you!!! I am sooooo happy I found you. You are all so open and giving. Thank you! Since I am new, I'm really like a sponge that takes in absolutely everything. I know I'll have to wring some of it out, but I hope to have a lot of fun before that.

Although I know computers, and am on-line all day, I've never used an IM or chatted, so I hope this goes OK.

I have questions regarding two products purchased through Innovative Stamp Creations (ISC). They sounded great on their web site, and in e-mails, but I just can't seem to get either one to work. I sure could use any
help, tips and/or special techniques any of you might have.

The first item is called "Studio Paper"; the second is Stewart Superior's "Transfer Ink".
I've read the directions, but nothing seems to work. I used my ink jet; I've used India Ink and rubber stamps; I've tried everything! Of course, it sounded so great I got 2 packages of the the paper and 3 bottles of the
transfer it. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site. I wish I could help you out with either of the two products but I have never heard of them, let alone purchased any of them. Everyone here is very helpful and if anyone has used them I'm sure they will speak up quickly. Good luck, and welcome to the site.

Most of the transfer techniques I've read about (haven't tried as of yet) are done with a laser printed image/or copied image (from a copy machine). The toner is the key to transfering the image...doesn't work with an inkjet printer. Perhaps your imaging transfer paper/products would work then. Just a thought.

Thank you for the welcome. I really can't believe how kind, helpful and generous this group is!

Re: the studio paper and the transfer ink ... the directions specifically state to NOT use a laser printer or toner based copies. Both supposedly work with inkjets. The Studio Paper is suppoed to also work with rubber stamps using pigment or dye ink. It says India Ink will help with fine line rubber stamps. Guess I'll just keep trying.
