Sheryl: I would say not. The paper is not the same, the companies that produce photo paper, whether glossy or not, formulate them especially for photographic applications, and hence, the chemical components in them are necessarily different than your standard, run-of-the-mill cardstock, glossy or not. Now, this is not an "expert" opinion, but I was into photography for awhile, and developing my own film, and there are chemicals in the photo paper itself that you print with for film processing to enhance the photo production. I can only assume that there is something special about the photo paper for printers as well. Besides, the glossy cardstock would be a whole lot cheaper, based on what I know about photo paper prices. HTH
