Default help!!! need instr. for a matchbook card

Can anyone direct me on how to make those cute matchbook cards or books. They look really simple but I'd like to know what I am doing for sure. I can't seem to find directions for them anywhere.

You help is appreciated!!

This is how I do mine...I cut a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper lengthwise. Then with the 4 1/4 being your width of the card, I fold up just under an inch on the bottom of the long side. Bring the top of the long side down to slip just under your new edge (the 1 inch section you folded up) and make another fold so it lies flat and tucked under. You need it to be atleast 1/4 inch tucked under to stay secure.

You can staple that bottom piece in the middle, on the sides, you can use brads or eyelets, or, tie a ribbon around the bottom across the flap. All of those things give it alittle more "holding" power.

Have fun!

Default matchbook cards

Oh, I have a couple of these as samples.
Full sized card:

ATC with a matchbox closure- a RAK card from Ninatar:

When you open it up, there is a piece of candy in it. I made one with a heart shaped chocolate for a Valentines Day ATC swap. Outside was red w/hearts and a little tag.

Matchbook ATC measurements:
7 5/8 inches x's 2 1/2 inches
score at:3 3/8, 3 9 1/16, and 7 inches. For this card, there is a piece of candy inside, so there is a true fold on the top.

Have fun creating!!!

Shelly
