Lightbulb Altered Tins - stamp own background paper

I was looking through all the great pics of the wonderful altered tins in the gallery. I'm wanting to make a gift set for a friend - using the Love Without End stamp set - and wondered if anyone had stamped their own background papers for the altered tin project?
If so, did you mod-podge over the paper? How did it do?
Did you use spray adhesive over the paper, instead of mod-podge?

thanks so much! I still have about 2 weeks to get this project done. I want to include: altered notebook, beaded pen, post-it note holder, set of notecards with generic tabs, and some other items.

thanks so much!

Ooo. I wouldn't think that any inks (besides StazOn) would hold up to ModPodge-ing. I haven't tested that out, though. Definitely test that out first... or just use Craft ink or acrylics instead. ;)
