Template for this card?
I've seen cards like this before. Is there a template for this? Or do I just need to play until I get it right? Thanks.

Hey! That's my card! LOL
Actually, I did it at my demo's house, but I do have the card in front of me & I am trying to figure out the measurements for ya. I'll just let you know that I failed math. LOL I can scan the card as it is & send it to your email if that may help you?? I do know that it's made from a full sheet of cardstock. |

Could I have that template too?

Just a thought
Not sure this would work but could you just use a square envelope template and cut off the right and left sides. Haven't tried it yet but thinking this might be a possibility.

Geralyn sounds right. They demo'd that at Regionals last year (or two).

Ditto to everyone else who loves this card. If you get it right or even close, I would love to get the template. [email protected]
Thanks! |

Maybe you could just post it, then everyone could have it. Thanks!

I tried attaching it, but it said the file is too big.
The lady that said a square envy would work is correct, it just would be square. The one I have is 12 1/4" from tip to tip, but it still fits on an 8.5x11 sheet of cardstock. A 4 3/8 x 5 3/4 envelope template would work for the one I did. Just cut off the licking part & the bottom flap. The 2 sides would fold over as triangles & then you add your closure. Make sense? LOL I just pulled apart an envelope & it would work, you'd just have to cut it a little skinnier because then it wouldn't fit inside the envelope. LOL I'm emailing my "pattern" that I have....it's just the card that has been traced with some measurements. |
This is great, thanks! Can't wait to make it. Just one more question?? Does this open up at all, where do you write on it?
|
Linda, yes it opens from tip to tip. If that makes sense. You may have a limited space to write, but the yellow piece is what you write on.
have fun & share your creations! |
Could you e-mail the template too? Thanks a bunch!

Hi Everybody,
I have made this card several times... I don't use a template, but if you take a piece of CS 4.25" x 11", then score it from the top and bottom at 2.75" you will end up with the regular card size of 4.25 x 5.5 with the top and bottom flaps meeting in the middle of the front. Next, open it up. Find the center of the top and bottom flaps. Which should be about 2 1/8". Draw lines from the fold to the center to make a triangle on the top and bottom and cut off the edges. Now when you fold the flaps down, you have the card back, with two trianlges meeting at their tips in the front. Wrap ribbon around the whole card and tie a bow, this is how it stays closed. You then attach your picture to the front. I hope this helps and is not too confusing. Kelly Mahoney |
