Technique tip for votive wraps

I know SCS is the place to come when I have a question! I'll be making votive wraps (is that the correct word - these are vellum sheets that are around the candle - not actually wrapped and adhered to the votive holder -- and I was wondering if its better to use vellum or vellum cardstock? These are for a coworker's table decorations for her rehearsal dinner.

Are you talking about vellum boats? I have used vellum cardstock to make them.
