Default making bows

Hi, Everyone! This might seem like a silly question, but how do you make such beautiful bows on cards? Every time I tie my ribbon into bows, they get all twisted and flattened. All of the bows I see on all your cards are so crisp, full and pretty! Any tips?

I tie my bows while they are still on the ribbon roll. That makes it easier to adjust the tails and loops, and not waste ribbon if I mess it up. This way is good for all sizes of bow. If you like the wrapped around the card look, glue a regular piece to the card and place the bow on with a sticky dot.

I had a lot of problems tying bows until I got a Bow Easy. I have arthritis in my hands and this makes it so much easier. I got mine from Gina K Designs.

Bow easy all the way...but I did have to watch a video from Suzanne Dean to completely understand how to do it!

I love the look of the bows that have the loops and tails going diagonally (whereas a 'traditional' bow has the loops on top and the tails on the bottom). Will the bow easy make the kind of bow where the loops and tails are diagonal?

Thanks!

There is a great video on Dawn McVey's blog on bow tying.

Here it is: My Favorite Things: At Long Last.....A Bow-Tying Video!
